In order to send emails from a shared mailbox, you must have permissions to Send As for that mailbox. If you do not have Send As permissions, please submit, or have your supervisor submit, a HelpDesk ticket via to be granted access.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Open a new email message by selecting New Email from the ribbon at the top of Outlook.

  2. Select the From box. If you do not see the desired shared mailbox, select Other Email Address... to enter the shared mailbox.

  3. In the new Send from Other Email Address box, enter the name of the desired shared mailbox and click OK.

  4. You should now see the shared mailbox address populated in the From field. Enter your Subject and message, then click Send. The recipient should see the message coming from the shared mailbox instead of your personal mailbox.
